I will not be voting for the Israel aid bill. If Congress wants to send money to Israel, then we should defund the United Nations first. I have concerns about all deficit spending when sending money to any country, even if that country is a great ally or under attack.

I am not here to defend Speaker Johnson’s choices or his actions. However, when I filed the motion to vacate the previous Speaker, we had a four-seat majority. My sincere worry is that one or two or three of my Republican colleagues would be susceptible to a bribe and will hand the House over to Democrats. That is why I do not support a motion to vacate at this time.
I regret to inform the country that, in a one-seat majority, there could be 1-3 of my GOP colleagues who would take a BRIBE in order to deprive the Republicans of our majority.
