The comprehensive tax reform bill is the first large-scale overhaul of the tax code since 1986, and passed the House with a vote of 227-203.

U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) today released the following statement in response to Attorney General Jeff Session’s contradictory answers during Tuesday’s House Judiciary Committee’s Hearing on Oversight of the Department of Justice (DOJ). During the hearing, Rep. Gaetz questioned the Attorney General on two occasions whether he had the authority to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate the worrisome Uranium One deal, as well as the Obama-Clinton era scandals. The Attorney General’s answers to Rep. Gaetz’s questions contradicted each other.
