TODAY: Congressman Matt Gaetz to Host Virtual Northwest Florida Congressional Art Competition

Washington, D.C. — On Monday, June 1st, Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01) will host the annual Congressional Art Competition online on his official Congressional Facebook and YouTube pages. The theme for the 2020 Congressional Art Competition is “Scenes of Northwest Florida.”


Each spring, a nationwide high school arts competition is sponsored by members of the U.S. House of Representatives. During this time, high school students from across Florida’s First Congressional District will showcase their artwork at the annual Congressional Art Competition and compete to have their talents displayed in Washington, D.C.


A panel of local art professionals will judge the competition, and the winning artwork will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The exhibit in Washington will also include artwork from participating districts across the country. Winners of the competition will be announced online during the virtual event.
