***MEDIA ADVISORY*** SATURDAY: Congressman Matt Gaetz to Host Local Military Heroes for Veterans History Project

Washington, D.C. – On Saturday, February 1st, U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01) will host local Northwest Florida military heroes for the U.S. Library of Congress’s Veterans History Project, an initiative to preserve veterans’ unique experiences and document their stories for future generations.
Local veterans who served in multiple conflicts, including World War II and the Vietnam War, will be present at the event. The event will be held in Pensacola, Florida, and is open to the press.
Additional Information: The Veterans History Project encourages veterans, who served in any capacity and with any rank, to contribute to the project through recounting their experiences and submitting documents, photographs, and additional supplemental materials to preserve a vibrant history of their service. All materials and accounts will then be permanently preserved in the Library of Congress.
