Why the MAGA Movement Needs Matt Gaetz in Congress
Over the past month, there has been a relentless assault on U.S. Representative Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), with fake news media laundering deep state dirt in a manner similar to what they did with the Russiagate scam.
The political establishment and the deep state have moved the goalposts many times throughout the scandal already. What started as an investigation into improper relations with a 17-year-old girl is now random allegations involving flings with of-age women. Gaetz's story alleging a deep state blackmail plot was ultimately corroborated, and only consensual relationships have been "revealed."
The media hit began just as it became clear Gaetz had built momentum, holding the Trump base and effectively attacking the Democrats. Before the entirety of the political system came down on him in a flash, he was doing what he does better than anyone in Congress: standing up for the rights of the troops and spreading an urgent message that few have the courage to express.
A recent Gaetz appearance before the House Committee on Armed Services has been memory-holed quickly due to his scandal. This appearance showed Gaetz at his best as he issued a rousing defense of all U.S. troops. Gaetz has quietly become a champion for America's heroes, reaching across the aisle to bring troops home from the forever wars preferred by Pentagon bureaucrats and defense contractors. Gaetz is also championing the free speech of conservative patriots in the military, even while most Republicans remain silent.
"Today, the Chinese Communist Party is building aircraft carriers and jets that every member of this committee knows threaten to close or eliminate the capability gap. North Korea is perfecting the ability to strike the United States with nuclear weapons. Cartels are hunting the next trafficking routes, and here we are," Gaetz told the committee.
"Today, the House Armed Services Committee is engaged in a review of constitutionally protected expression from our troops. How utterly weak of us. No wonder the Chinese Communist Party continues to gain ground," he added.
While the vast majority of Republicans play defense and acquiesce to Biden's military purge, Gaetz calls out this anti-American activity as the historic disgrace and slap in the face that it is:
This is not about extremism. It's not about white supremacy. It's about woke supremacy. It's about converting the military . . . into an institution controlled by the political Left. Today, instead of working together, we are gathered having a hearing designed to tear us apart, to try and get us to view our fellow countrymen and women who protect us as somehow evil or dangerous or a cancer to be excised.
Gaetz argues that the "U.S. Military is the most diverse organization in our entire country," united for the "common purpose to protect and defend the United States of America." He is fighting against the woke agenda focusing military resources on clapping back in NowThis fashion against the likes of Tucker Carlson for questioning the utility of pregnant women on the front lines or Representative Marjorie Greene (R-Ga.) for not showing adequate fealty to Guam. Meanwhile, they are reducing fitness standards for the troops because the equality lie does not hold up to objective reality.
Gaetz is one of the few members of Congress with the courage even to mention this leftist agenda, much less oppose it. The Republican Party, at least according to the special interests who call the shots, is now the party that believes transgender children represent family values and speaking positively of America's Anglo-Saxon heritage is white supremacy. The Chamber of Commerce loves woke money flowing into its coffers so Republicans look the other way while perverts groom children in schools.
The embattled representative from Florida is not going along with the program, which is why he has been targeted for annihilation. The political establishment is starting to get worried, however. Their attacks on Gaetz are quite having the desired effect, in part because the public is inundated with fear porn and entranced by constant scandal. There is a growing sense that he is going to pull through and emerge from the strife stronger than ever. Similar to Trump after Billy Bush Saturday, Gaetz has gained momentum by shrugging off the coordinated attacks.
If he can weather the storm, Gaetz could become unstoppable and prove to be the heir to Trump that the MAGA movement desperately needs to prevent the GOP's orchestrated backslide.
