U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz Spends Day Panhandle Voters

April 21, 2017

Freshman U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz made a whirlwind tour of Pensacola on Thursday — doing everything from reading to kindergartners to answering questions from dozens of protesters opposed to his plan to eliminate the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to throwing out the first pitch at a Blue Wahoos baseball game.

The event marked the third "Open Gaetz Day" since the Fort Walton Beach Republican took office in January. The days involve the congressman holding events in specific parts of his 1st Congressional District.
