U.S. Congressional El Salvador Caucus
The Congressional El Salvador Caucus was founded in July 2024 by Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01) following a congressional trip to El Salvador to attend the second inauguration of El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele.
The Congressional El Salvador Caucus’ mission will aim to promote a better understanding of issues related to the United States’ relationship with El Salvador, our mutual interests and the interests of the United States. It will also work to advance the education of other Members and their constituents on these subjects, and to strengthen bilateral relations between the United States and our Central American neighbor.
Rep. Matt Gaetz serves as the inaugural Chairman with Rep. Vicente Gonzalez serving as the inaugural Co-Chair of the caucus. The caucus currently has 17 bipartisan members.
